Cleaning with Thieves

So working in a green house means you might have to deal with tons of dust, bugs, spiders, and mice.
This spring, as I was cleaning out all the amendment cupboards, I found loads of mouse crap. Now I don't know about you, but I've always been scared to death of mouse droppings.. Ever since I was little, I always imagined accidentally breathing one little diseased particle in my lungs and thus dying a slow and painful death.
So I've always been very careful around it. My family has always uses bleach or rubbing alcohol to clean up iffy things like  that; however, working in an organic greenhouse poses a different set of rules. One being: no chemicals.
Instead of any of those harsh chemicals, I used a natural cleaner made from Thieves Vinegar.
Thieves is a concoction of vinegar infused with herbs, spices or garlic that was believed to protect users from the plague. (Read more about it here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thieves_oil)

It's also known to clean and purify the air, so some boil a little water containing it while there is sickness in the house.

So all this to say, that's how I cleaned up the mouse droppings. Although I'm a bleach kind of gal, I felt very confident in using this natural substance. And thieves smells sweet of cinnamon and other spices, too. Which is pleasant to work around. :)

In hopes of more postings...

I've been working at a green house and garden over the last few months and have been learning TONS about plants, planting, soil, health, nutrition, and the like. Every week, almost everyday, I learn something new about how things work and live. My wonderful boss is also coaching me in the ways of being a health consultant, and constantly stresses the great importance of maintaining a healthy diet and life style. My boss has worked with Body Balance for years and has seen the amazing effects of getting the right nutrients and vitamins through Supplements and vegetables. So in the following blogs I hope to share a little bit of what I learn.

It can make for an amazing life when we stay open to constant learning and growing. :)

Pray. Shine. Share.

It's been interesting to see God answer prayers that I've not really even made into prayers.. more like just my thoughts.
I was thinking a few weeks ago about my witness. How much do I actually talk to people about my faith, my love for Jesus, or my excitement for heaven? Not at all, really. That is, not outside of church. I was really disturbed when i really thought about my lack of excitement to share Him.
I see many many people over the span of a usual week of work, and how many opportunities to I let  go by?? Almost every one.

This last week, however, things have been much different. People have, out of no where, started talking to me about serious matters. My co-worker brought up the subject of world peace, a customer asked if I was a "You're going to hell if you don't accept Jesus" kind of Christian, another customer and I had a conversation about life after death, my co-worker poured out her life problems, etc etc etc!

And on top of all of this, God has provided ways for me to answer and talk to these people. Not in ways I would think of, either! So I know it must be Him. :)

The world is getting desperate for Jesus. No no, the world has always been desperate for Jesus..but i think the world is starting to really realize their desperation.   Depression is becoming more and more prevalent, and many are so tired of their ways, knowing ... FEELING that there is something so much bigger to live for.

So what should we do? PRAY. Like there's no tomorrow.. cuz there might not be.
And SHINE His love accurately. And SHARE His love constantly.

Anyways, it's been a long day of work, I should go.

Oh-lo!

Hi world!

Been waaayy too busy to post anything new, my apologies. Life has been crazy, busy, wonderful, stressful, amazing, full of responsibilities and decisions, and all around typical of an eighteen year old.

God has been here with me. Teaching me and blessing me in so many different ways; i'm so glad to be His child! Ever thought about it like that? We're part of something that the rest of the world hungers for, what the rest of the world was MADE for - being close to Jesus!

Well, even though it looks like life only gets more insanely busy from now on, i will try my best to update you on what goes on. I'm liking the blog idea cuz it seems like most of the facebook world is too busy to take an interest in how someone's day went, or what one's been learning. This way, only the people who really actually care what goes on can know the score (and the rest of the world can be left unbothered!) ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful, safe day.
